I decided to get into reef tank owning due to my BFF and her obsession with it. So I bought an established 29g bowfront that contained about 70lbs or so of live rock, live sand, a marine filter, led lights, some corals and a stand. We upgraded the system when we got home and put on a HOT magnum canister filter, a 2 gallon HOB refugium with chaeto and rubble, and a remora HOB protein skimmer.
When we first set up the tank:

I've added lots of pretty colors of zoos. I've gotten rid of the PJ cardinal that came with the tank and added some smaller bodied fish. Added a ton of CUC and am upgrading my lights. And now only 3 months later I've decided a second bigger tank is in order so I bought a used 50G breeder with stand and sump. Now to decide if i want to transfer the stuff in this tank to the new one or go all out and carry 2 tanks. Decisions decisions.......

Looking good!!

Go for 2 !! You have them might as well run them. In the long run u could always turn the 29 into a frag tank

Picked up a new to me led light. Corals are already looking a ton better.

Picked up the 50b. The stand and sump needs some clean up and the old school vho lights will be replaced but it is in good shape. Pics to come of it and it's progression!

Its on hold. :( I'm unemployed so I am waiting until money falls from the sky to set it up.
