Low Calcium
Low Strontium
Low Iodine

High Fe Could this be my salt? I cant think of anything else to cause high Fe
High PO4 due to dosing for Nitrate reduction

Mg is in tolerance although my titration puts it at 1600+

Phosporus. NO3 was not moving using NOPOX due to no detectable PO4.
Since dosing P my NO3 is down to 23 from 40+
Also could be due to increased macro since I also have a refugium going too.
No reactors, skimmer only

No that’s the right move, I just didn’t add up, did you recently dose anything for your macro algae to grow? Like chaeto grow or similar?

I have cheato and culerpa. No added nutrients but Culerpa has gone nuts from one stem

I was wondering if you had done it, could explain the high fe although if the algaes are growing again it should go down again.

I use aqua forrest salt. The Fe might be from that. There was some questions raised over Fe content in this salt before

The calcium is fine.

IMO, unless you measured the salt mix itself, iron is not super likely to be from a salt mix as it is used or precipitated fairly fast. The actual iron level you report is fine anyway. Some folks recommend substantially raised levels.

So looking at my ICP I can see the Redsea titration is not the be all that a titration should be.
Mg is 200ppm high at least
Ca shows high

Are there home tests more accurate than the Redsea kits?
Or instead of wasting money on test kits would it be cheaper long term to just do ICP every 2nd month and dose accordingly

Should I invest in Hanna PH and Alk testers

Generally people find that red sea Mg reads a bit high and Salifert reads more in line with expected .
Red sea Ca seems fine according to most.
Titration kits are very consistent which is what's important for tracking trends to dialing in dosing amounts. Whether a kit reads a little high or low is less important.
