If anyone is interested, this is the simplest set up of all time. I'm running a canister filter, a HOB protein skimmer, and a $80 Chinese black box. SPS are growing great! I dont even use an auto doser. I hand dose 17ml of 2 part every morning, check alk every few days and test the rest once a week. Everyone says that 0 nitrates and 0 phosphates are bad, but my tank is very close to or at 0 and things are doing great. I feed reef roids once a week, plus feed the fish daily.
