This tank had been up for about 4 years I have been into aquariums since the early 70s got into salt late 70s. I got lazy, was thinking about selling off everything was becoming to much work dealing with monti caps that grew over everything you could see the growth daily. Between health issues, fixed income and the wife would be glad if it were gone but I decided to rearrange rock work get rid of a five gallon bucket of montis and a chalice and do a restart. Because I had let the tank go for almost a year when I tore the tank down and redid rock work I lost all my SPS and did not lose a single LPS. The system is a glass display 6 ft x 30" x 27" tall on a home built stand that has never been enclosed. Current lighting is two Orphek Atlantik ver2.1b and I just added one of their OR120 actinic. I have a glass 70 gallon sump and a 40 gallon glass tank for ATO. I was using a Reef Dynamics skimmer an INS 500 which I removed when I did this restart, I also had their biopellet reactor which I stopped using over a year ago. I am using a kalk stirrer on my ATO and a Vertex calcium reactor, my only nutrient export is a 302 ATS with occasional use of ROX carbon. I am not using any full system controller like an Apex my tank will run hands off for 2 weeks at a time I use an auto feeder when I am gone but not when I am home as I like when the fish come out when they see me. Here are a few pictures before I let tank go. All corals were started with frags.

Thanks it does cause a bit of stress when you know things that go wrong are usually something you did wrong. Always learning and finally realized the keep it simple still holds true. May not give you the best looking tank out there but it keeps cost and amount of work down. The toadstool was the size of my thumb and now is a good foot across. My two Duncan's started one was two heads and one was 3 now they are both over 100 heads. Will add more pictures after my replacement sps have grown a bit since they are all little frags. That was my biggest problem letting tank go and having sps that had become large colonies die. But it was my fault.
