Now pushing a 380 pump threw the main return and I modified the return removing 3 blades inside the spinner slowing down the spin but increasing threwput alot plus the original 240 pump that came with tbe tank I estimate 500 gph flowing threw the display now should be enoff for sps to be super happy as there are 0 dead spots but also 0 direct flow areas using the glass to break up the flows and crossing the spinning one with the stagnet one for more turbulance

I used 2 pumps instead of 1 big one cuz a I had room to and mainly b cuz if one fails in the middle of the night or while I'm away the tank won't crash and both failling is unlikely and they are both on a backup batter that big enoff to run my entire house for 3 days so I'm good there lol
The 380 us restricted some buy the outlet but I cut 3 of the 6 fins off of the mechanism that spins everything to alow alot more water threw and spin it slower
Would not do this enless you pushing more then 300 gph threw it otherwise I don't think it would still spin I had extra pressure to use so I did but I'm also running about as much threw it as you can without stalling the pump due to much back pressure
Just ordered this and the vivids purple monticap so won't be getting the German blue digi got this instead its a Muy Verde Birdsnest should be under about 300 par where iv got picked out so should be good
Still looking for the perfect rock to go in the bottom as a small island for a frogspawn also looking for the perfect frogspawn lol not real sure yet but so far leaning towards the classic green with purple tips
It's 2nd plate and lower plate after moving it up top over the last 2 weeks has twisted and started to become one pretty cool imo
I find it really neat that even tho they are hard and calcium they if happy and healthy have the ability to move their structure some to acount for new water flow
OK so here are the new corals I got in today from WWC the cleaner shrimp was DOA tho
Coral looks real good all was ipen within minutes of being in tank
I mounted the frags in the locations I want but rotated them to maximize light exposure on the skeleton
I touched the purple cap had to to mount it as there no pug to touch lol so it's got alittle white on it it'll be fine tho
The pink and yellow sunfire cap moved to where I thought I wanted the purple but once I tank Just didn't look right
Now it's back to an eveness that does not draw your eyes to any 1 location but rather makes them want to jump from area to area thus tricking the brain into seeing the whole tank not just 1 piece
Now just gotta find the perfect island and frogspawn to go on the bottom rightist of the center in the big open floor should be far enoff away for alot of growth without killing the cap above it or the birdsnest to the left of where it'll go
Then once iv got enoff info I plan to get a crocea clam to go in-between the 2 large rocks I'll build a bowl in that area of rock and raise it several inches so the clam is in the middle of the branching coral and will get 250 ish par start growing up to around 325 par
Then I'll be getting either a
Mastertronic with dosetronic (less stuff in tank which is nice wider range of tests)
Or and more then likely an apex system with trident and 2 or 3 dos not sure yet (alot more features)
Both will allow me to automate calcium and magnesium dosing which is all I really want or need lol
And yes I know I'm spend 10 times the amount of a controller as I did the tank
