Hey Guys, got my first tank on 10, 10, 16 and this is my tank thread. I have to say before I got this tank I knew ZERO about tanks or fish. I walked into my LFS and instantly fell in love with corals and those cute clowns , and that same day me and my gf went halfsies on our first tank! It has really been a lot more work then the LFS made it out to be and way more expensive then they let us know, but it's been fun.

Specifications:
W36xH36xL24

Equipment:
2 Hydra26 HD
2 retrofit kit T5 blu plus 36"

3 mp40 QD
Octo 150 Skimmer
Running carbon/GFO

Life stock:
15 clowns/assorted flavors
2 Mandarin Dragonnets
1 pink/blue spotted goby
1 cleaner shrimp

If i could go back id get a shorter tank.

That is one heck of a picture window!

I've seen "clownfish harem" tanks work well - and look magnificent! With some time and a couple of anemones, tentacles swirling 'round that rock, you could have a real masterpiece on your hands.

Do be aware that your dragonets are going to want small live food ... and lots of it. Given that your setup seems relatively new, you might want to add some 'pods to get a robust breeding colony going for mandarin snack-food.

That's a great looking tank! I'm not surprised you wished you had gotten a shorter one, but it's is a very stunning tank. Mine is 27.5" deep and I have a hard time reaching the bottom.

I'll be looking forward to seeing your tank evolve. :)

Thank you :). Yeah me and my gf are kind of obssesed with keeping the mandarins happy, we must have added over 20 bottles of pods and I dose live plankton to keep a good population till it matures. I just don't want them to be hungry. I wouldn't want to be. Ive had to feed the fish three times a day to stop from having hangry clowns. Mean litte dudes

Some mandarins will eat frozen food and live black worms in addition to pods, it might be a little hard with the depth of your tank :D but you can try using a turkey baster to get it to them.
