So I've been following on here since I switched from freshwater to saltwater about 18 months ago. I started with a 30 gallon innovative marine aio, went to a 56 gallon corner non drilled, then 65 gallon drilled, to my current setup which is a 6'x3' acrylic tank. I've built several sumps through that time, but opted for just a large rubbermaid tank(?) with a starboard insert I built. The tank has been setup for a little over ayear now and I have moved it once and completely rebuilt it probably 5 times now. The stand is all 2x4 construction with a plywood top. I also have a 3'x3' acrylic tank that was my frag system but is currently just being used as a refugium. We have been planning on buying a new house for over 6 months now so stand upgrades are waiting until then, im planning on having a steel stand built and then making my own custom wood covers with doors. For equipment im running a reeflo dart/snapper hybrid return pump on the display and a jeboa dc variable on the refugium. Im using a precision marine bullitt 3 skimmer with a external pump(yellow and black can't remember the name off the top of my head). Have a brs dual reactor with gfo and carbon, then two larger no name reactors just for gfo. Lighting i have hydra 26 and mars aqua black boxes over the display and a homemade t8 fixture with aqua flora tubes. Its not the prettiest setup, but done one a low budget in what little spare time I've had between my 6 and 3 year olds and a newborn in the past 6 months it's functional and calms the newborn down everytime! It's mostly zoas and lps, but I've started trying a few acros and other sps with little success unfortunately. I currently am using red sea coral pro salt, coral colors, abc+, reef energy, and reef roids as well as a wide array of frozen foods that i mix and make my own cubes out of and dr gs lps maxx. I've still got a lot to learn but enjoy coming home every night and retreating to my fish room for as long as possible
