My 400

Very massive chalices you got there - very cool! It looks like you have a rainbow chalice in the middle there? I'm also a sucker for chalices...but they take forever to grow though.
Rainbow is sooooooo slow man .been there for like 2 years now just starting to get happy

Oh I hear you - my rainbow took 2 years to grow 0.5". My "fastest" growing chalice is the OG Mummy Eye; but then again, he's 15+ years old.

Some of your colonies are massive so suspect they're 15+ years old as well?

I've never had success with chalices. I currently have 1 that has been sitting trying to decide if it's happy or dying. One day it's all "bleh" and the next day it's throwing 3 new mouths with 0 growth...

Depends on the type .I feel the smooth chalices grow quick like raja, space invader, avatar , mummy eyes .

My Raja doubles in size and then detached from the skeleton and died all within about two weeks. My Space Invader is doing good with new mouths but it refuses to grow bigger. It's weird.

Some people struggle with chalices for me they always do great for the most part .I do however always have nutrients in the water nitrates usually at 10ppm and phosphate always.10 to .20.also I have been dosing esv transitional elements

I don't dose trace elements often enough but have been adding some along with iodine. Dosing NeoPhos to keep them detectable for my Acros and trying to bring my nitrates down somewhat.

Most days I'm sitting at 50 nitrates and 0.05 phosphate dosing 10 ml per day.

That one's very nice! I saw a frag for sale the other day and was wondering what it would look like grown out some.

This was another hugh colony I sold off and kept a frag to regrow ..I called it a ghost chalice .was just a wild indo I got about 8 years ago .fast grower but again taking forever for the frag to start .I think chalices take a while to decide to grow then they start growing quick

I started my tank with Purple Sulfur Bacteria - PNS Substrate Sauce.

That was almost a year ago.
