Why not a 55g?

Its going on a 75g. There is a total of 96 leds with 80 degree optics and 2 54w blue plus bulbs. I should have some pics of the 75g lighted up by the weekend hopefully. Won't be much to see besides some white dry rock that is being cycled, lol. I just got the t5's wired up, and test fired.

dammmnn...thas one nice looking diy light. Whatss the PAR gona be like on it? and what kind of corals are you gona be keeping in the tank?

Yeah, that's a lot of light. I hope they are dimmable. I'm guessing sps tank? Can't wait to see more.

I just seems like you'll have about 500 par readings at the bottom or more if turned up.

Thanks guys. Ill post more info and pics later, gotta do some running around and pick up some last minute stuff so I can work on the light. But to answer some questions, Im using meanwell dimmable drivers on a RKE. leds are 50/50 of white and blues with 80 degree optics. And yes I do have the clip on reflectors, I was just too lazy to put them on at the moment.

That light is awesome . Seems like it took a lot of thought too.. I can't wait until you skin it . What do you have planned for the drivers ?

yeah, how much did that $$? wanna see if i can afford some upgrading! awesome build!

update

Everything all connected and wired up to my reefkeeper elite. The only thing i wasnt too happy about was how my fixture ended up looking after skinning it. My workers didn't cut the sheeting very square and it came out looking half arsed. Oh well, Ill probably build a new skeleton and swap everything over later on down the road. But for now, itll work....not pretty, but very functionable.

At first, the leds were at the lowest setting on the driver and I thought that was bright. I was able to dial in the driver to 700ma and what a huge difference. Hopefully I can get some par numbers soon to post up.
