My 55g mixed reef update

So I think it is time to share an update on my 55g tank.

Tank got wet on March 7th. I added 4 Blue Chromis and a skunk cleaner shrimp on Friday March 12th. These pics are from March 13.

FFWD a month... New additions are 2 Wyoming White clownfish, Magenta Dottyback, Peppermint shrimp. Lost 3 of the 4 Blue Chromis unfortunately :-(. This is April 9.

Tank has undergone a few changes since then. Added a few coral frags, and a beautiful baby Yellow Tang. Here is the tank as it is today May 30th.

Overall I am happy with the progress of this tank. As you can see I have redone some of the rockwork. I do have a bit of a battle going on right now with cyano and GHA. All of the fish are healthy and happy though and the corals all look pretty good. So, I am pleased with the progress so far.

For now, not much. Get the uglies under control basically. Hopefully a lighting upgrade toward the end of the year. I am currently running an Orbit LED strip. I like the controllability of this light, but not happy at all with the intensity. Not sure if I want to add more fish in this tank. Currently there are 2 Clowns, 2 Pajama Cardinals, 1 Magenta Dottyback, 1 Blue Chromis, 1 Yellow Tang, ! Skunk Cleaner Shrimp, 1 Peppermint Shrimp, 2 Emerald Crabs, and about 35 or so snails. Also a few Coral pieces: Xenia, GSP. a couple Palys a couple zoas and an acan.

Here are some of the corals. I don't have much for corals in this tank right now. As I said, I am not happy with the lights and I may redo some of the rocks as well. But I have a few nice pieces in here...

This poor xenia is just not happy.. Not really sure where to place it where it will like. I'm considering moving it to the 32g tank, but I doubt it will be any happier there with the increased flow that tank has...
