So after a couple year hiatus without a reef tank. A text out of the blue started me thinking about setting up a new tank. I have a budget of $750 to work with over the next couple months. Did score a nice tank for $40 to get started, 65g Acrylic with stand and acrylic 20g sump. The tank/sump was DIRTY but that what elbow grease is for. Here is the tank cleaned and the stand primed and painted

Planned/Purchased list of equipment:
Reef Octopus DNWB-110 Skimmer
Reef Octopus BR-110 Reactor
OBD Helios LED (temp/picked up for a great price $150)
Quite One 3000 return pump (Have about 10 of them already)
24" Finnex Planted+ LED for Sump (again already have it)
2 Jebo WP10 with contoller (picked up used for $50)

Need to tint the back of the tank and make a overflow box so I can start plumbing everything up.

I would like to get about 50lbs of Florida Aquacultured LR. I understand the risk of using LR instead of DEAD rock. So thats not a debate, I like the look and the diversity of fauna that comes in with it.

This will be a somewhat slow build over the next 3-4months, but I will do my best to keep this updated as I progress.

is the Dims 36x18x24H ?

if your going SPS heavy. Go with 2 wp25's the wp 10s are not that strong for a stick only tank.

we have a 65G SPS heavy and zoa DOM tank in one. and we have 2 WP25's The flow is Perfect. lmk what route you go.

Hey Zach, my apologies to your wife for my text.....lol

Nice to have you back into the 'Salty' side of the hobby again and you know when you are ready I will help you fill this puppy up with some nice sized Coral starts. No 3/4" nubs from me my friend, we want this to look like a Reeftank from the get go.

Cheers, Todd

Thanks for the input on the Jebos Ro&Gab. Thanks Todd, I'll have to have you come over and help set it up. Not using a controller and the lights are a manual dimmer, so input on adjusting them will be greatly appreciated.
