Finally have a video using a mac to edit with Adobe Premiere. Adobe products are not working on my PC with windows 10 build 17101 and have not been working with previous builds with the insider program.;)

Interesting idea.... Just read something on this. Is GFO not enough in your tank? If I turn GFO back online, my PO4 drops to near 0. Right now my tank is at .343 but GFO is off. I was using only 1/2 cup of GFO mixed with ROX and couldn't keep the PO4 up.

I have not changed my GFO in three weeks because of of a hectic schedule. I also know now that I can let the phosphates deviate and use lanthanum I can bring the phosphate back in line farley quickly. I use about 3/4 cups on GFO to maintain my phosphates.

So to answer your question, you need to find the point to where your phosphates are maintained at the levels you desire using GFO. I like mine around a .04 If the phosphates get out of whack use the lanthanum to bring the phosphate back in line;)

Do not use lanthanum chloride as a substitute for GFO, from what I have read the lanthanum will stunt the growth of you corals. ;)

I just dosed 10ml and I will see were the phosphates are tomorrow.

Thanks for the video! Tank is looking good.

Your tank doesn't mind when the phosphate goes up and down 0.5 PPM?

When the system was new yes. Not as much as the system matures. I check my system with a Hanna Checker ULT phosphorus checker. I will change the GFO today and filter socks and with the dose on lanthanum I will fall back in line by Friday.

I will post my phosphate number this afternoon.

Saturday update
Alk down to 9.6 I will know better before my water change next week.
Phosphates down to .04 after one dose of lanthanum and changing the GFO today.
Get you popcorn out for a vid tomorrow, since I figured out what my editing issue are.
