My 72 Bowfront Build Revised Thread

Gotta love that guy.

Thanks for sharing. I was wondering if you still had it.
;Hilarious;Hilarious;Hilarious;Hilarious

I just started to spray the leaves regularly with RO/DI to see if this will help with the growth.

I love my Gyres, I have them for 3 years with no issues.

Sally has been in the tank for 2 years and she has been a model critter:)

My Gyre frustrates the heck out of me. It feels like it needs to be cleaned every 10 days and heaven for bid you have any small snails in your tank

Which ones do you have? The old maxspect, new maxspect, or the Icecap? I have the old first gen maxpects. I have been pretty lucky, from reading the first gen had a bunch of problems with the power cord releasing stray voltage to the impellers failing miserably.

Took my number today
Ca 415
Mg 1440
Alk 7 switched to a new reagent. Yesterday I was at 8.1 with the Hanna and today with the Hanna 7 testing twice:eek::confused:. Tested with Aquaforest and I was 7 to 7.3 time to start raising the alk slowly
phosphates .01
Nitrates have come down and I am at a 5 ppm with the slight amount of hair algae disappearing. I will really measure the food tonight to see exactly how much I have been feeding this past week. I know I am at the least half of what I was feeding. I am figuring that half to three quarter teaspoon is my golden feeding amount instead of 1 heaping teaspoon.

Sorry for the bad top downs.

I started with the Originals which flat out got murdered by cerith snails. I currently have 1 of the Icecap ones. The frustrating thing for me about the Gyres is they've changed them so much over so little time is it almost feels like we got guinea pigged a bit. I've lost track of how many times they've redesigned the paddles at this point.

Get ready, there is a new gen coming out.

I just seen that last week. The last of reagent gave me a reading over 10  so I opened a new one and got 7.4 where it should be. Now we know

I am going test in a few to see were my Alk is at today and make adjustments slowly to bring it back up.

From the test labs of Jsker

Alk test results 8-19-18.PNG

I did turn up the dosing yesterday but I am going to correct the alk up to 7.8 to 8 and see how the tank looks.

That's a cool Apex log file.

Alk is rising nice and slow
ELOS test is a the border line of the color change every time, but is reading high I would say the ELOS variance for Hanna is +.2dkh

Alk is slowly coming back up, and Mg is dropping. Had to add some salt to DT.

Nutrients are also falling in line.
