Tank update
Costing along right now, which is a good thing.
Got my hands on a @Aquaforest nitrates test kit, the color chart is nice a easy to read. the last test I was using was the NYOS. The NYOS test is good, my issue with the test is to much reagent comes out of the bottle and I was always starting over. Between NYOS and ELOS my test results were solid but a tad bit to high then I normally have been running. My phosphates need to come down a tad and then my nutrient will be balance after months of settling my parameters down. I going to bump up the big three a tad also.

Well the RSSL skimmer pump died, and from the looks of the inside of the pump this was not over night. I looked around for a new pump and it looks like the waveline 2500h is very hard to find and I would want to go with new. I spent pretty much of the day yesterday looking around at skimmers and really like the features of the Red Sea RSK-300, and I ordered it. I always had the feeling the RSSL R5-i was a little under powered for my system and it look like the Red Sea RSK-300 will be the right fit. I also like the hose from the skimmer cup and the twist cup cleaner that come standard with the Red Sea Skimmer.
It looks as though most skimmer are going with the Sicce pumps, I like the control-ability of the DC pump that I had. I looks like I can dial in the skimmer better though with the adjustment knob. Wednesday evening will be the install of the new skimmer.

1.25 cups of the phosphate minus in a factor. I am going to do a water change tomorrow and test again after. I might dose a mild dose of lanthanum chloride depending were the readings are at.

And that is the smallest size
RSK-300Really nice skimmer so far. I needed to do some rearranging in the also to have the skimmer fit.
