September will be 1 year. Time flies when your having fun! Finally got both a DSLR and installed a doser the other day. It's getting packed in there! I have the doser feeding the return section of the sump. I put my PH probe in the same section so that in the off chance the doser decides to dump the reef keeper will **** it off once the PH hits 8.5.

Really digging this build thread. Did that amazon LED bulb grow algae well? I'm working on my own 75g tank and I'm looking into one of those PAR38 LED bulbs to grow algae in the fuge. I've actually looked at SO MANY on eBay and Amazon, just looking for a solid recommendation.

Sweet build thread. You built it from scratch. Thanks for sharing!!!!!!! This has inspired me to look into algea scrubbers

No, unfortunately it did not work well at all. Before getting the turbo aquatics scrubber I used one 23 watt spiral CFL per side. I forget which temp I got but anything between 2700k-3000k will work. These lights worked very well at growing algae. Only problem is they need replaced every 3 months even if they still work to maintain effectiveness. I have a box of used CFL bulbs for when they burn out in the house lol

Can you go over your fish stocking and how they are doing?

Sure,
One Spot Foxface
Yellow Tang
2x Ocellaris Clowns
Yellow Corris Wrasse
Coral Beauty
Blue/Green Chromis
Cleaner Shrimp
75g ReefCleaner Snail package (hermits found their way in somehow)

My first addition was 3 Blue/Green Chromis. It only took 2 days and one had picked off and killed the other two. Other than that everyone gets along. At first the Tang and the Foxface where "at terms" with each other. The Tang was there first but the Foxface was bigger. They had some pushing and shoving matches but now they are inseparable, I rarely see them to far from each other. Same with the clowns, they where not added at the same time and where different sizes. Funny how it works out but the smaller one is now the dominate one. The Chromi, Angel, and Wrasse just do their own thing. So far (knock on wood) no coral nipping issues aside from the cleaner shrimp pouncing on corals to steal food.

Next up in the build, Copepod/Amphipod and Phytoplankton farm to prep for the addition of a Green Mandarin Goby. I started prepping the space in my lab (which is really my basement) last night.

The basement lab is starting to take shape. I picked up a bulkhead from Home Depot today to put in my brute and I have some spare wood set aside from my stand to make a water change station.

Thanks for the write up!
I've considered a yellow tang to go in my 90g with my foxface but worry about space for it. Good to hear everyone is doing well!
