Well after a week of filling a 5 gallon bucket full of rodi water and mixing salt in 24 5 gallon bucket for a total of 120 gallons . 1 day Dr.Tims one and only and bio spira added 8 green chromis 2 clark clowns 1 hoevens wrasse 1 neon goby 1 nasso tang. Did not detect any ammonia ,nitrite or nitrates. Day 7 did a 5 gallon water change. Day 8 i have brown spots all over my rocks . The uglys have started. I have put pods in . Should I start coraline algea?

One green chromis got to close to my wave maker now I am down to 12 to day is day 8 I have spots of brown algea growing and I do not know how but pink coraline algea .HOW? Fish are fine . How i thought you had to put it in the tank to get it. My rock is old live rock I payed alot of money for but it has been in a tub dry for two years. Only thing I put in was fish not the water. Dr. Tims ,bio spira , 48 oz. Copapods and photo plankton.

My cycle is over the bottled bacteria worked like a charm I have brown diatoms . My Tang is on it. The pink must have been bacteria it is not there any more.

Coralline will come when it pleases. You can buy the bottled stuff or just buy some CUC snails/hermits and it will likely have the same impact. it will take a good 3 months to have it start growing
