My 8 foot tank build

Now I know techniqly this may not belong in here because it's not 180 gallon tank but I still consider this to be a large tank and if it needs to be moved it can.

Just placed an order with customs aquariums for my new saltwater tank.

Tank is 8' long 24" depth and 18" high. They have it as 155 gallon tank

The tank is going to sit in a stand from custom cages.

Will post photos as they arrive.

I plan to use 4 sb reef lights on the tank and 2 mp 40's.
I have a ecotech m1 return pump.
I am taking suggestions on skimmer at this time
I have to colbolt heaters
The tank has 2 overflows and 2 returns

Take a close look at the Ice Cap skimmers. I'm running one on my 150 Gallon tank. It's very quiet, the fan on my lights make more noise than it does.

Have you thought about going bare bottom? Check out a video of world wide corals bare bottom tank. It's amazing. My next tank will be bare bottom. One good thing about bare bottom is, you don't have to worry about the flow stirring up your sand bed. Just a thought.

I considered bare bottom but some of what I want to keep requires a sand bed. I have seen tanks both ways and prefer the sand look.

@jamie callard I bought that same sand for my 75g build 2 years ago, It looks great, but will not buy it again. Be careful bc the sand doesn't stay white forever, it leeches silicates and with my tank being SPS dominant the blows around so bad. I went ahead and took 3/4 of mine out. I will be going either barebottom or a more coarse grain sand for my future 240g build.

It's a dream build I'd have g4 radions. Did decide to change my lights and I purchased 4 g3 xr 30 pros so now my entire tank will be ecotech equipment
