My acro collection aka my obsession

very nice collection. Do you use any filter in taking pics? post processing? I wanted to do the same and document all my acros but having a hard time taking good pics under led/t5 combo. Care to share some secret? @Reefnjunkie

I don't use the filter but do have to adjust white balance with the camera and I use Lightroom for post editing.
You look online there's quite a few tutorials about shooting pictures and the need to adjust the white balance in reef tanks with the type of lighting we use

My Walt Disney after I fragged it.......

Here is the base that has a few more colors ( a friend and I split the frag)

Well 18 months here is some of what that frag turned into :)

Congrats to you, you and your family have been through a lot over the years, thank God for this hobby, and your addiction. Just a few questions, your now running T-5's and LEDs on your main DT? Carbon, which type?
Also, I read where you hurt your corals with a UV light, can you explain? I've been running one from day one, but had problems with Acros and STN on most, but was told to switch, and recently changed from LEDs to T-5's, and the extension I'm seeing from the Acros is great. Thanks in advance

those are some good questions and I am tagging along. Very very nice tank.

Also are you running gfo at all? How much are you feeding your tank?

What alk, calc and p04 and nitrates do you aim for?

from now on..i hope ppl that post their sps beauties...would also post their params...and light source!!!...im curious what route u went for these gorgeous results

Display is 9- HydraHD52, 3 frag tanks are 8 bulb T5 one of which has reefbritesXHO, another frag tank has 3 Ocean revive SO26, another tank 3 HD26s. My 2 QT (2 tanks) which is not tied intot he other tank 1-has a 6 bulbT5 with 2 reefbritesXHO and the last 2 Ocean revive SO26 with 2 reefbrites XHO.

If I said the UV hurt my acros that would have been misstated, I quite using the UV in fear it was sterilizing the water (level 2 sterilization-TOO MUCH). Ive only ran carbon when I had fish whipped out due to disease and when I ran into "whatever" happened earlier this year. for the last 9 years no carbon and only GFO when I had elevated PO4, now the PO4 and NO3 test zero

I feed a few tablespoons of LRS daily along with pellets when I think about tossing a few pinches in
KH 8.4
Ca- 550
Mg 1400
NO3 and PO4 both reading zero on Res Sea pro for NO3 and Milwaukie Ultra low reader for PO4. Ive recently bought monosodium phosphate and liquid NO3 and have the intent to start dosing both (whether I actually do we will see) targeting PO4 .02-.05 and NO3 maybe 1-2

Wow that growth is awesome. What are you keeping your params at? Are you using a Ca Rx?

Ca RX ever since returning to the hobby- Its an opinionated topic but Id always recommend Ca Rx over dosing

May I name it. I'd like it to be called Rik's first frag from reefnjunkie ;)

Do you think thats a little long in the title ;)

I always dip with Revive, but I still have RTN or STN issues, usually only one at a time, what dipping solution or method do you suggest to cure this problem???

With colors looking great why are you thinking about dosing no3 and po4?

The few LPS I have in the display could be a little happier with some nutrients and I cant imagine it causing issues withr the acros providing the increase was very gradual
