This is a frag from Copps actually. He gives generous sized frags. This one was actually almost twice as big, but it broke in the bag and I have a separate large frag of it too.Nice sticks, you call this a frag lol? Or is this tank a transfer from an old system, it's only 1 month old right?
Wow how big is that like 4"?This is a frag from Copps actually. He gives generous sized frags. This one was actually almost twice as big, but it broke in the bag and I have a separate large frag of it too.
Yeah it was probably about that size. I also got a frag of 2 different stags that were each about 4" long. Check him out on reef central if you're interested in frags. He sells a couple times a year. He has some really awesome old school stuff that has been in captivity for decades and is hard to find anywhere these days (like 20k lokani, OG purple monster, etc)
I'll try to work on it soon, but it's only been like 2 months since my last post, lolHow about some new pics? I know you got some nice pieces over there, lol.

Sorry to hear about the worms. How did you first notice the flat worms? That jello shot is amazing, exceptional growth! How's the CRT Limit Breaker piece doing? I've not heard or seen that one that I can remember and it's a nice looking frag for sure!
It’s obviously not as neon looking but yes it’s still really nice. Lots of pink and green with hints of orangeIs the Jell-O shot as nice in daylight?
I was quite surprised when I was dipping to find worms on frags that still had excellent color and polyp extension.
dang dude that growth is insane, especially because your tank is under a year old isn't it? Is your rock from a previous tank?Well, wanted to post this updated shot of the growth I've seen on my WWC Jelloshot. This coral has absolutely exploded with growth in just 4-5 months since I've had it. First pic is from my last post, second pic is from today...

However, it is with some sadness that I have to report that I need to remove this beauty from the rock work because I've discovered my tank has AEFW. Fortunately, this is the only "colony" with extensive encrusting I need to remove, so it's not that big of a deal to treat the tank. All corals are being removed from the rocks and placed on frag racks where they will be dipped once weekly for the next 4-6 weeks minimum. After I'm certain the tank is pest free, I will be starting a very strict quarantine protocol which involves a minimum of 4 weeks of weekly dipping in a separate system (already set up) and another 4 weeks of observation and one final dip to be certain there are no pests.
All of the corals I own came from just 6 different sellers over the last 4 months (I had an empty tank prior to that). 2 of them are big vendors on this site, the other 4 are hobbyists. I have a pretty good idea which one it may have been, but I'm not going to call them out because I can't be certain. So, one of them or all of them have AEFW as well and either don't know it or do know it and didn't bother to disclose. Additionally, WWC admitted to having black bugs on one of the corals they sent me after I found them. Later I also found redbugs! Already treated for that problem. Needless to say, it doesn't matter at this point because it's my fault for not using a QT the first time around. Lesson learned.
May this serve as a warning to everyone else who purchases corals from ANYBODY...AEFW are everywhere. Even the big vendors have them. Even if a seller has amazing looking corals (which all of mine were when I bought them) that doesn't mean they are pest free. You must use a QT protocol to avoid getting infected!
Exactly. The signs I was seeing were very subtle. If I hadnt dealt with these in the past I certainly wouldnt have known there was a problem. That seems crazy. I wonder how many others think they are fine and have an infestation.
