My tank is fairly new and I just started adding Acropora sp. around 10-01-15. All are just frags or very small colonies. I most likely won't end up with any high end pieces unless they are given or traded for however I think there are plenty reasonably priced Acros out there that should keep almost anyone happy. The first one I think is a good example of one and I think it's a Miyagi tortuosa. I really like the solid white areas. If the polyps were colored or fluorescent it would be awesome.

Nice photo. How about some more pictures of the rest of them!

Thanks, I am going to try and post everything I have and get. I don't find much interesting to do with single sticks though but I have a few that may have potential. I'll try another later today. Thanks for looking!

Beautiful shot, I wish you could take pictures of the Reef Raft SPS so we can all admire all the colors.

I would be glad to photo anything just send me a piece or if your local I can come over.

Sorry bud, I'm in California and the one I have does not have the color that will represent as a mother colony would, thanks for the offer though.

Me too, if your ever in Northbay Guerneville come and visit.

So, that's what a Hawkins looks like up close, truly an amazing work there Steve.

Thanks! I may take a top down photo as well. The greenish brown is only in the shadow areas so a top down would look more teal/green/blue, like the branch on top.

WOW Amazing photos.;)

I so enjoy taking acro pictures but yours are on such a different level. What a delight to look at your pictures. Wish I had the knowledge, experience and talent to photograph like you do. Kudos. Truly inspirational what can be accomplished

Can you share a little about your photo set up for these pictures. Are you using custom white balance, tank lighting and what type, lens and camera, what settings on your camera, and what about post processing--which program and primarily what adjustments. Love to try and emulate what you do.

Wow. Beautiful photos. How did you get such great depth of field doing macro? Must have had lots of light for the high aperture.

I shoot using f16 a lot for macro shots, especially if I am using extension tubes. Also using a high pixel camera can yield great results with extreme crops. Here is an example.

This Tricolor has the greenest polyps of any I have ever seen. These guys are just waiting to branch out.
