My ammonia cycle is complete

If you want more than a pair of clowns get them all at once and get small tank bred ones. Hopefully 1 will become the dominatrix female and the males will fall in line. You can always trade one in to the LFS if it seems to get bullied.
Forget about the other fish. With clowns you will have a lot of variety in looks and size. Next, pick out your big fat nem for them to play in.

Thanks ! This seems to be the recommended approach - but scared to take the plunge !!

I would start with one or two green chromis. They’re cheap and will get your tank to the point where it should be before the addition of higher end clowns

Personnellement :
Je e commencerais pas avec un chromis. Ils sont peut-être bon marché, mais ils ont besoin de beaucoup de soin pour les maintenir en vie. Ils sont des poissons actifs et ont vraiment besoin d’être nourris 3 fois par jour.

+1 on starting with a CUC

I'd say go with one of the gobies and the clownfishes.
Gobies tend to dwell on the sandbed so it should help avoid territorial issues. Plus they're relatively different in shape as the clownfish so that should help as well. Just make sure to give the goby places to hide and it should be good. I've seen lots of people with gobies and clownfishes in the same tank.
