My ammonia? Is it false?

Hi all so my ammonia keeps bouncing from 0 to maybe .5 pic below every few days?? Do you think things false reading I'm using api master kit. Tanks almost 3 months old I have 3 fish and a bunch if clean up crew. Lots of bio and dry rock. I was using prime and I just did a 20% water change yesterday 130 g tank. I have been switching to rodi water last 2 3 weeks and done probably 75% water change. Plus nitrates are still at 10 to 20ppm?!? Nitrite 0 ph 8+ pls help

Try an alternate ammonia kit, like Salifert.

Hardly anyone gets an API ammonia test kit to read less than 0.25 ppm. Still, your results are a little concerning. You say you used Prime. There is a possible interaction/implication to doing that and testing. Someone can probably explain that better than me.

Haven't used prime for a few days but did last week when it did this
