Not sure what has been going on. Pretty new tank. About 4 months old. My bta has looked great and done great but I just seen him and it looks real odd. I have video at bottom. Also my corals were all doing real well. I bumped my lights up and some started looking odd. Mostly the zoas. So I turned down my lights and they all just seemed to start doing worse. So I bumped my lights back up and they don't seem to be getting better but worse. One zoa frags won't even open any more. My ricordia is small, zoas not as open. Nitrates have still been a battle. Been about 40. Phosphates between 0 and .3. my salinity is a little low about .022-23. my fish all do great. Temp 77-78. Running viparspectra 165 12" off waterline. Standard 29 gallon. Light at 65% blue 1% white. Blues run from 11am to 8 pm. Whites run from 2pm to 6pm. Please help if you can.

I can’t see the videos.... have you tested your water?

Nitrates 40, phosphates are 0 I do weekly water changes with io reef crystals so I haven't checked calcium or magnesium but only have softies really

Tank probably needs more beneficial bacteria if it’s that new. How long ago was cycle, and how much rock vs volume?

Can you think of any recent changes to the system at all? Besides the lighting? Was everything doing ok before this? If they were, I would suggest putting the lights back to what you had before and give some time for the tank to acclimate again... little by little bringing them back down.

Not really any changes. Just the light and locations of frags.

Are the frags located in a place that is best suited for each one? Lighting & flow wise?

As far as I can tell from research. All in bottom third of tank on the sides nothing in middle. I run 2 koralias. (425,565) top left pointing right to try and create gyre in tank for flow

K, the best I got is to put things back to the way it was and wait it out. Monitoring as you go.

Usually you want to wait about 6 months before adding an anemone. Are you running carbon?

Sounds like you shocked the tank by Turing up the light too fast. What light are you running and how fast did you raise them ?

Chempure blue. And yeah. Let's just say my lfs was terrible in the information they gave me. I didn't find r2r until it was to late.

I would not have a problem believing that. I'm running viparspectra 165. 12" off waterline. 65% blue 1% white
