Good or bad?

I've had this anemone for just over two years. He's always stayed in the same place. Last week he moved a little bit, but I change the water flow a tad and figured that was why.

When I got home today he's not out where he usually is during daylights. So I look closely and noticed I have two now!

He was getting very big! Easily 8" wide not counting the tenticles.

Should I be worried?

I would only worry if splitting became excessive, maybe double check params just in case but most likely just a natural split.
very cool!

I just checked the parameters Sunday and everything is fine. So I guess it's a baby. I big one at that! ;p like I said it was getting huge!

Funny timing. I too was excited when mine split. However, I'm sitting here blowing a power head on a baby trying to get it to dislodge from the inaccessible location it decided to settle and sting two large SPS colonies. No longer exited.

Here's one from maybe a little over a month ago with my hand in front of the glass to kinda show the size...

April 22nd to be exact

Lol that sucks... luckily I don't have too many corals for it to mess with. Maybe it will go keep my GSP in check ;p

No you should give one to me to keep an eye on for you. Lol It will be fine it just had a baby.
If you lived closer I would totally trade you something for the other half. I don't need two of them ;p I guess I'll have to get some more clowns now for this one...

My rainbow BT in 4 years has split giving me 8 new ones. I trade them for other corals. Once it spilt into 3. As mentioned they will also split if stressed. It can be a survival mechanism. Every year or two is normal.

Yeah I've had him for just over 2 years now... he was getting extremely big. Not sure how I would be able to get one of the out from their foothold to be able to trade it... ;p

Rob, hopefully someone will offer some suggestions and I will piggy back on the responses. 24 hours of a power head blowing the snot out of this thing and it refuses to relocate. Would love some ideas besides taking the rock out, which amounts to a total redo of my display!

Yeah I'm in the same boat as you... I'd have to pull a volleyball size rock to get this sucker out. Lol They are both under an archway attached to large rocks underneath. ;p

Hopefully I I do end up keeping both that they will spread apart some to fill out the tank space... :)
