My anemone keeps dividing, is that a good thing?

I’ve had my anemone now probably around 6 months. It’s grown quite a bit in size since I got it. I went on vacation last month and had someone look after my tank while I was away and when I came back I was surprised to see my anemone had divided. Now just today I noticed the bigger anemone has divided again. They

all seem to be doing great. Is it normal for them to divide once they get to a certain size? Thanks for any answers.

I find they split when they are happy. I started with 3. Now have about 30.

just be careful, they will sting and possibly kill other corals they touch.

Ok good to know. All the parameters in my tank are good so I was hoping they wouldn’t be stressed. Yes they are overtaking a big patch of firework clove polyps I have at the moment but it’s ok because I have too many of them anyway. Thanks for the info!

It not a bad thing if they’re splitting and alive. You get to make money off selling the smaller baby ones if they start populating your tank if you have a reef tank. It will sting your corals. Let me know if you start selling it and i will get one from you. Maybe its a sign for me to start my tank again and get a pair of nice clowns. This is what i had before.

I had 1 a year ago, now I have 12. So now I set up a clown, anemone tank. I love anemones but they are better when they have their own setup and can't hurt anyone.

invest in a sunburst bta, then sell the splited ones for a bit less than those crazy price tags out there.
