So ether I'm doing things just right or I'm doing them totally wrong. Either way my anemone just split for the first time. I was able to catch some pictures of it mid split. Any advice moving for the next few days while both halves heal?

Just leave it alone and let it heal and find its place. Nothing you really need to do. This is a good thing as long as you want more Anemones.

Splitting is something they will do repeatedly with no certain time interval

Never had one split, but I wish mine would in the future! Everything I have read says this is normal and natural. Let it do it’s thing and heal up!

Thanks for the comments folks! Both halves seem to be in descent shape so far. Both are inflating and starting to curl back around to heal themselves. My only issue is where they've decided to settle. One half is right at the mouth of my goby's cave and the other half moved up to sit right next to my hammers. I'm mostly worried about them stinging my other corals and fish. I was wondering what the best practice in that sort of situation would be? Should I risk it and attempt to move them in their condition or just leave it and let things happen?

My vote is leave em for now, try and move them while healing up may end up really bad.

Ah the trials and tribulations of Anemone's ...always nervous when mine is on the move. Woke this AM to find my Long Tent in the process of being sucked against the intake of my submersible UV. Going to fashion up a new screen or guard for it now....thankfully it seems ok, got to it just in time, a few damaged tips is about it.

This guy got sucked up into my powerhead the first night I got him and then stayed put till yesterday when it decided to split. I've been watching my tank like a hawk and definitely lost some sleep checking on it cause I'm afraid of it happening again.

Yup, I hear that! Lol...just wish they'd be happy in one spot long term, but....every month or so here, the walk begins!
