My aquascaping. Need suggestions.

I think progress is being made with each try (at the expense of your hands) ;) I've liked each version better than the first, and I think it all boils down to personal preference now. You will be the one staring at this setup for endless hours.

What you have in the third try seems to be similar to the first but better executed. Still a bit or a rock pile, but its hiding the center like you wanted and I see more flat spots for coral mounting and more holes/caves for fish. You also managed to give a lot of lagoon like variations in how close the rock gets to the front/back and side to side, which I think looks great.

My finished product with sand and all. I am satisfied... for now.

What do you plan on stocking?
pair of clowns
blue tang
Helfrichi firefish
Purple firefish (if it can coexist with the helfrichi)
Can't decide between a regular foxface rabbitfish or the magnificent foxfsce (which do you guys prefer)
Watchman goby
Diamondback goby
Lawnmower blenny
Midas blenny
Mandarin dragnet (probably my last fish after my pod population is established well)

This is the list I started with. I'm not sure whether I want to remove anything get anything different add more or add less.

Sounds like a plan for a gorgeous tank. U should get an eel ( me trying to live vicariously through other reefers[emoji6] )

Me and my wife both wanted an eel but I was always under the impression they weren't reef safe.

Looks great! I have a 120 now and am building a new 180 at the moment. I will ask for advice on my aquascape in return! :) I would love to watch how your stock goes as well! I already have a foxface, sailfin, scooter, flamehawk, and pair of clowns. I also have a serpent starfish. Those will all come with me if I can catch them! :) I might try the island look, but not sure what I will do yet. :) Great build! For your stocking list. I would sign up for Divers Den Alerts on Live Aquaria. One of the best things I have done. I always find new and unique fish that I never would have thought of before

I know people who have them in reefs. Just make sure rocks are very secure, you watch your fingers when working in the tank, watch nutrient levels cause they poop a lot and have a lid

I'll have to start an actual build thread! I'm currently setting up a 20g quarantine tank before I start stocking my main tank. I figured it would save me the headache in the long run! I look forward to seeing your build come along!

Thanks for the suggestion I'll have to do that!
