Beautiful pictures. One thing i do like about other peoples tanks is the ability to look down on them lol.

Getting some decent growth from my corals I really didn’t realize the extent until I compared some older photos Thrilled with my Goniopora growth, I have always loved them and it was my very first coral that I purchased for my original reef back in the 80’s, it was a green one but it never showed any growth nor did it last long.

5 month FTS.. tank is coming along nicely and I’m slowly getting my big 3 in line, Mag has been a pain to bring up but heavy dosing and three 25% water changes over the last two weeks has helped.

I turned mine off about 3 months ago, my water is always clear, looking very nice.

I turned mine off about 3 months ago, my water is always clear, looking very nice.

Thanks Simon Skimmer will go back on line at some point when the tank settles a bit but it’s been running to clean for my liking.. I have been feeding fish 3-4 times a day and I feed my corals couple times a week but struggling to keep nutrients up and I still have 0 nitrates & phosphates, probably going to be a balancing act until it matures.

So I have been neglecting my build thread through the holidays (and my tank) so it’s time to get busy with lots of planned upgrades as well as some overdue maintenance.. have a lot planned for 2019 beginning with finishing my planned equipment additions and putting together a DIY control center.

Guess I hadn’t been too bad last year as I received a few reef related goodies for Xmas..

On a sad note lost another one of my Chromis last night leaving only 1 from the original batch, two of them had bad bacterial infections and didn’t survive despite my best efforts in QT with metro and natural treatments along with heavy feedings of fresh fortified foods
