My algae overran my pink goni. I miss it more after seeing how well urs is doing. Tough coral to keep happy. Well done.

Algae has been the demise of all the ones I’ve had.. even in tanks without any algae issues if you have even the slightest amount of damage or recession on the Goni that exposes the corallites the septum’s seem to quickly attract and promote algae growth witch causes further recession of the surrounding healthy tissue eventually leading to the demise of the colony.

Thanks Simon! When the tank is happy I’m happy Getting some hair algae and other uglies but I’m staying the course and will work my way through them naturally no chemical solutions for me.

Picked up a used RKL for a great price yesterday I will use this to control heating and cooling, some lights, my Kalk pump, a float switch to prevent my satellite fuge from overflowing and also to monitor Temp, PH and maybe ORP & Salinity.

My brother in law ordered a yellow tang and they sent him a teeny tiny little thing. He was getting bullied in his tank so I agreed to take him until he grows a few inches.. he’s a little beat up with some nipped fins but overall seems healthy and is already out cruising the tank and eating.

He is such a cutie, I’m already thinking good luck getting him back.. lol I kept a yellow and a powder brown together in a 55 for around 10 years back when people didn’t know any better.. hope there is a statue of limitations
