Retro Reefer my red Goni don’t seem to like spot feeding either. I find I have to let the current give the food because it will close up if it feels the slightest flow from the coral feeder. It may be me but that is my thought

I read the first couple pages but lack of time right now I need to ask... How did the mighty jet pump work? I am seriously considering one.

I noticed that too when I tried reef roids with my goni before it checked out.

I found that if I broadcasted the roids in a small puff upstream from the Goni in the flow pattern, and let the cloud drift to it naturally that it didnt seem to be bothered at all.

The Mighty Jet is working great so far, I was a little worried about it losing power after a few months but no signs of that 9 months in with no cleaning or servicing.. Thanks for checking out my build thread and welcome to R2R!

Typically I shut all my pumps off and spot feed each coral but recently I have also been broadcast feeding the entire tank a once or twice a week, I don’t see the Goni responding but hopefully everyone is getting some benefits from it.. as long as it keeps growing and looks happy I’m happy

I still do this... well like3/4 gal once a day ato setups are pricy for what they are. Still debating on hard piping a line from rodi to a float valve.

It’s a Miami Hurricane chalice taken with my iPad under early morning blues so it’s glowing more than normal. It’s been in my nano for a couple years and started as a fingernail size frag, I need to break it off the glass and move it to my breeder..

Updates will be on hold until forum is fixed! Site basically unusable for me since upgrade

takes multiple tries to get forum to load and the first time I click on something to navigate through site it crashes. I’m using iPad/IOS and have never had problems with this forum or any web site for that matter.. EVER! I can’t be the only one with this issue?
