Thought I would show my tank. I love looking at all the builds that everyone posts and I love the idea of sumps and all the extras that everyone has. Mine seems a little basic by comparison.
I have a juwel 240lt tank which has about 50kg of rock in it. Internal filter and an eheim external ( no sump ). There are 2 powerheads ( one at each end of the tank ). The lighting is a 4' igalaxy led with 24 different time settings for each day. I have a small Fluval PS1 skimmer which runs 16 hrs a day on a time switch. The tank is in the main living room and I am a little ocd when it comes to any noise..which is why it doesn't run from 4pm to midnight each day.
I do use nopox daily and have to ocassionally top up the KH/Alk levels but that's it. Water comes from a friend of mine who has his own RO set up. It only costs me $2.50 for ro and $5 for salt water as and when I need it. I do a 25lt water change every 4 weeks.
As you can see there is a fair bit of coral in thre and quite a few fish. Levels are all pretty much spot on ( more luck than judgement I think )
Sorry about the back light..forgot to close the curtains..lol
Hope you like the set-up. Beats watching TV sometimes.

What a gorgeous tank! Would you happen to have the video on youtube as well?

The movement in the tank is fantastic, watching the corals sway back and forth must be hypnotizing.
Beautiful tank.

thank you...I cannot put into words how much I love my tank.....the tv is next to it and quite often I have to rewind the prgram I am watching coz I missed something.

thank you. Its not on youtube sorry...only got it on dailymotion. Why youtube ??
Their forum SW supports YouTube links directly, so I could watch your video on mobile. Right now on Tapatalk, I can't see the video, but if it was on YouTube, I could watch it at lunch :)

Sorry, software. Basically YouTube links auto- magically just work for lots of users (pc, mobile, etc.) and Dailymotion do not. That's all. Not a big deal, I can watch the video when I get back to my desk

Thank you. :-)

Amazing such coloration.

Awesome. How often are you trimming corals on the top? I am assuming you are to prevent the shadowing of the lower corals?

once every 4 weeks or so the heavier pieces get cut off with a pair of scissors and put in the back of the tank, Then its onto a couple of aquaria sites that I am on on and offer them to who ever wants them and replies first.

Are those all soft corals on tops, do you have name for the one that is red?
Any gorgonian?
Did you start the nopox because of low values of N/P?
Do you purposely feed the corals (other than nopox) and if so what do you use, do you feed heavily?
