I know, it sounds like my wife posted this, right.
Have a open brain. It's been in the tank in the same place for several months and we actually had to turn it a little because it had grown enough to start rubbing against a rock. Yesterday when the lights came on it just didn't open back up. It's as small or smaller than it is at night. When it didn't open up again today I moved it forward in the tank (it was mid tank, now it it close to the front glass just to try and change the flow a little to see what happens. Nothing unusual in the water tests and the rest of the corals (candy cane, polyps, xenia, frogspawn, hammers, sunfire, zoas) are all open and as happy as one may think a coral may look.
Appreciate any ideas.
Thanks
