The tank is going through a rough patch right now, which I expected. Hair algae, cyano on the sandbed, Aiptasia and flatworms.

I’ve been manually removing GHA, cyano and flatworms with weekly water changes. I picked up 5 peppermint shrimp today in hopes that they’ll help with the Aiptasia.

Anyhow, I was playing around with the new camera today...

Still fighting the good fight. Did my weekly 20 g water change today. The tank is getting better. Less and less algae to siphon out.

It’ll be a slow thread. I’m gonna try to take a few pics every couple weeks.

Did my weekly water change yesterday. The tank is looking decent. The plan is to get rid of the large toadstool and all of the little ones—I probably have ten toadstools...I’ll keep the largest baby toad and decide on what to fill the space with; suggestions are welcome.

Still dealing with what I think is bryopspis.

I have the week off from work so I got some reef stuff done. I removed the large toadstool and 10-15 baby toads. I kept a decent sized, nicely shaped toad. I also received a package from Live Aquaria today.

Day 2 in the tank. Still no polyp extension but it’s standing somewhat upright.

Day 4 in the tank. The coral is shedding and the polyps look like they’re trying to come out.

I’ve been running GAC in a bag so I bought a new reactor. Bashsea 4-12 and a Sicce Syncra 1.0. I hope to have it running this weekend.

I also stopped at an LFS after work yesterday and picked up a Royal Gramma and a sleeper goby. No sign of the goby yet.

I have some orange pvc left over from the build. I looked through it and found a piece of pipe which I figured was 1/2”. I need 1/2” to plumb the reactor. So I order fittings from BRS. The fittings arrive as expected. I go to play around with my new fittings, like a kid at Christmas, and they don’t fit my “1/2 inch” pipe. I stop being lazy, grab my tape measure, and realize the pipe is 3/4”...
I just ordered a length of 1/2” orange pvc from Amazon.

On another note, I have a delivery coming from WWC tomorrow. Nothing spectacular but I’m excited. Neon clove polyps and a tiger conch.

I picked this coral up sometime last week. It was sold to me as a crown leather. I like it

I moved a couple corals during the week. My ORA sinularia wasn't happy, neither were my clove polyps or red mushrooms. I think the sinularia and the cloves needed more light and the shrooms less. It looks like I made the right moves. The three corals in question look better than they did, but time will tell.

I'm still practicing with the camera and lightroom editing...Here's a couple shots I think came out okay.

I’ve been looking at Palythoa Grandis for some time now. I was going to get a cinnamon paly but stumbled upon this guy today. Placed an order for a delivery this Saturday.
