Hello to all,

I was looking at the water parameters (https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/reef-chemistry-forum/122294-parameters-reef-tank.html) and after this mornings water testing I found that my calcium is at 500ppm. Everything else is fine. Should I be concerned?

Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 0
Phosphate - 0
dKH - 8 or 143
Magnesium 1360-1400
Salinity - 1.024
Temp - 78
pH - 8.01

Calcium - 500

I'm running a calcium and GFO/Carbon reactor. I turned the flow up on the Calcium reactor to (approx) 4 drips/sec. It was at 2drips/sec.

it will come down in time, 500 is ok with your ph at 8.01.

i set my calcium reactor to 60 bubbles per min and effluent to 70ml per minute, then go from there

Thanks for the quick response. I sent a text to my LFS guy and he pretty much said the same. I will tinker with the Calcium reactor.

can also be the salt, i find using seachem salt i was getting a skewed reading of 500-550

Cool, which testkits? But anyway 500 is not a train smash
