Just built my first water mixing station and everything alone and I am not familiar with a lot of the plumbing and stuff. Everything is working except my quick connect for my hose. I was going to do some water changing today but water is just exploding out between the cam Lever adapter and coupling. They don't seem nearly water tight when I connect them but they are close. I can't just pull it out when the levers are shut. I followed the buying guide on bulkreefsupply so they should be the right pieces.

Are mine broken or where should I order my next one from? lol

Is the adapter sliding fully into the coupler with cams open?
Sounds like you arent fully seating it before closing the cams causing a non water tight seal.

Also, you want to make sure you are using the same size coupler and adapters.

The buying guide just keeps you from buying two of the same style piece that wouldnt fit together.

Pics would help a little too!

They were both 3/4" and I tried pushing them together more but nothing seems to work.
The locks don't close tightly they are very loose. I think there might be a piece missing like another gasket. I contacted BRS and they just shipped out another one so I will see when that gets here.

But I'm just using a union I had and it is working fine. Seems to work just as good as a quick connect anyway.

Not sure how you plumbed your setup but if its working then thats all that matters!

Here is a couple pics. I just did my first water change with it and now I'm making another batch to fill up a new 12 gallon!
