I got this chalice awhile back, and it was pretty dull when I got it. Within the past week it has started to change colors on me. I have no idea on an ID, probably too early to tell. It used to be all purply brown, but now is starting to get more blues and has developed pink eyes. The most unusual part of this to me is its starting to form a green rim on one side. If anyone has any ideas on how I can bring out the true color of this chalice that would be great. Or special care instructions. Right now it sits on the sand in almost complete shade. My lights are 4xT5. Pics are not the greatest either, I will try to get some truer pics tonight.

EDIT: Removed the crappy pics (truer Pics updated later in the post)

I was curious about that also, since the surface is much smoother looking versus the bumpy echino's I have. I think your right Mycedium. I am so curious to see what colors come out of this coral. I will take a few more shots today with a better camera also.

The pics I posted earlier were from a point and click cam and colors were off so I am posting others with a better cam. Lemme know what you think? I am thinking the green section was in the complete shade, but not certain.
