My clown fish is biting me

I'm in this club with a tomato clown. The fish hits hard enough, I hoping for it to get brain damage and die. No luck yet.

This thread has me rolling! Haha! Finger crotch attacks from a 3” fish...I’m dying.... They are part of the damsel family and sure do show it. My Black Photon Clownfish follow me around the tank, whether I’m inside it our out. They are just fat and hungry, like a hangry 3 year-old.

mine do the same if I enter 'their' side of the tank but they run away from my gravel syphon and cleaner magnet.

I have a pair of clown in my tank. In the last week the male clown fish has started to aggressively charge and bite my hand/ arms when my hand is anywhere near their territory in the tank. Kind of a pain when placing corals.

I don’t think it’s a problem, in fact we think it’s pretty funny at my house, just wondering what causes this sudden aggression towards me.

He doesn’t seem to show any aggression towards other fish- just me. I’ve had the pair for about 2-3 months

Mine does the same thing, but hes tiny.

I have a black photon that will come up and dare me to put my hand in the tank, then strike if I do. Hes small enough that its no big deal now. Seems to be particularly drawn to my wedding ring. Its actually quite funny.

Yes, most are nips but several have drawn blood. She likes to go for the area between my fingers where the skin is softer... that's where she draws blood occasionally!

Well tonight he upgraded to drawing blood while I was epoxying corals.
No longer a laughing matter. The female is starting to get a little more aggressive towards me too.

My 3" maroon goes out of her way to attack my hand. Doesn't matter where it is. Even outside the glass cleaning it. My lightning maroon pays no attention to me. Neither do the 4 blue damsels I have. She triple tapped me so quickly during the last water change, I thought the fish all decided to jump me. She's only broken the skin twice so far. But I have to mentally prepare myself before I do any tank maintenance now

My female snowflake just recently started attacking me, no blood yet, but I have these little read blood marks on my arms. In my case, I think she’s getting ready to lay eggs, as both have started some new little wiggle swiggle dances on an object in their territory. Odd that it’s your male being the aggressor (In my very novice opinion) I always thought the females were the bosses.

My male snowflake is also the aggressor. I have had the pair since they were about an inch long. Over 8 years now. I used to use a toothbrush to clean the rocks. Then one day he started attacking whenever I was using that toothbrush near his home. Two years of so later I realized I had been destroying their eggs. I found myself flicking my fingers at him and actually made contact. What a bully I had turned into. I have given up the brush and now never clean when their are eggs. He rarely attacks me now. I only have 5 fish in that tank. It is a 65 gallon RedSea. If I try to add other fish now the clowns lure them in to feed their anemone!
