My clown loach has dissapeared

I don't really know what to say but my clown loach has disappeared. I removed all the décor and rinsed it all and made sure it was empty but i cant find him. Does anyone know what could have happened

How big was it? Any other fish in the tank with it?
Have you checked around the tank? Loaches are known jumpers/escape artists.

U wont even believe what has happened. I was reading a similar thread that was about the same stuff. It said that to find them you have to crack open the crappy plastic decor. I read that stood up. Tilted the rock and out came the loach after 20 mins out of water. Still alive though. phew!!

Most loaches are really good cave dwellers. I’m lucky to see my sun loaches (except at feeding time). Now that you know he’s just hiding, I wouldn’t sweat it next time he disappears. Do try to get a nice school of them if you don’t already have multiple - they are far more comfortable in groups. Also, as it grows it should be more active and boisterous, of course it will take it many years to get full grown.
