i have had my clownfish for probably 5-6 months and i have seen no growth in them, does anyone know why. or does anyone know tricks or food that gets them to grow

Clownish and most fish for that matter will take a little while to show growth. This depends on how often they're fed as well as what they're fed.

Clownish in particular can live upwards of 30 years so they normally grow slowly. I would give it a solid year before you see a big difference in size.

Also, enjoy them while they're young. They can be fiesty when they're older and bonded with a mate.
