Hi. Lately I've been having hard time feeding my anemones. I have 5 anemones in my tank. My one bubble tip is a bit bleached. I used to feed them every other day but my clownfish usually remove them when I put frozen food in the anemones, I dont know why. Is there any other way to feed em?

Not really any other way , they need to put the food in their own mouth .... try distracting the clowns . The Nem should pull food in real quick .... if no distraction try putting something near the Nem and frightening them off for a minute or two ... I feed my nems on the end of a kebab skewer , they pull the shrimp off the end then you can waggle the skewer ferociously and spook the fish maybe ....

I’m sure there’ll b no harm done to the fish but your Nem needs some solid food by the sound of it to speed up its recovery ...

Good luck

I feed my nem once a week frozen fish whole I let it thaw out in a cup and he just grabs it out my fingers and my clowns don't have time to take it form him and if thay try the nem just wholes it and then thay leave him alone so he can eat the fish I've had my nem for 2years now and going strong hear is a picture of him

1) Most nems never need feeding if you have good lights and water
2) My clowns usually took food to the nem not take it away

Try feeding the nem and putting a net near it. Clowns hate nets

Agreed. The anemones will be fine without spot feeding them. They likely get random bits of food that you feed your fish anyway.

My clowns are getting brave. I tried scaring them with a stick but it wont work. Lol. I feed my anemone small bit of shrimp every other day. There are times the food wont stick to the anemone. Idk why. Maybe it's full. Lol

What kind of fish do you feed em?

I got a bubble tip nem from a LFS for free and it's a bit bleached. The say feeding it often can help it return it's color.
