When I bought my two ocellaris clowns they were pretty much a solid orange and white color. I've had them for about 6 months now and they are starting to change from the orange and white color to black and white. It started out as a few black dots on them and then it has turned into this faint black coloration. They weren't that expensive when I bought them since they were pretty much just the regular type of clown fish. Just wondering if maybe I got lucky and got more than what I paid for because I know that black clownfish cost more. The second picture is a couple months after I got them. The first one was from the other day.

Sorry for the terrible pictures.

Are they supposed to turn black? I thought they stayed orange?

Mine are almost black & white now apart from thier faces and a tiny bit underneath, it's normal.

Some clowns will turn dark almost black depending on their parentage. If its smooth black dots like anywhere else on its skin then its just normal coloration.
