My clowns eat the eggs

Any idea why the clowns would eat their own eggs. I feed them well and all of my levels are good. I heard of clowns eating any eggs that may have died, but my female lays them on the glass and the male eats as fast as they are laid. Any that he doesn't get the female gets. This happens every time they lay eggs. Are they just a couple of cannibals? lol

Id say your male is incapabl of producing gametes, a result of this would be the male eating the eggs. Generally speaking, when the male is sterile the female will do away with him if he can not do the job, not always though.

Or it coul be that they are still in the learning curve of it all and have'nt got it right.
