Let's start off by saying a have 120g with plenty of live rock and hiding places. My tank is about 4 months old and stable. My current stock list includes 2 Yellowtail Blue Damsels, 2 True Percula Clowns( mated pair), adult Powder Blue Tang(~10yrs), adult Majestic Angelfish(~12yrs), and a Lawnmower Blennie. My Flemish list is after the Powder Blue goes- a Kole Tang and a Sailfin Tang(added at same time), after Majestic goes- 2 of the three if possible, Coral Beauty, Flame Angel, and/or a Lemonpeel. I'd also like a couple of reef safe wrasses- any recommendations? I have excellent filtration to Handel the bio load. Lots of rock in the display and the sump. I also have a huge fuge that grows tones of pods and algae. My current coral list is mainly polyps and soon to be adding LPS and gorgonians. Please let me know if any of this is feasible and/or other recommendations. Thank you.

are you wishing for your old timers to go??? that tang could live another 5-20 years. if you are adding wrasses I would get the damsel out of here because they could be a bit mean to them

WOW, that would be alot of fishies in there. And alot that shouldn't be in there.

No. Not wishing. I know the Angel only lives 10-12yrs. He's already lost most of his color and is showing signs of his age. I don't wish him gone, but planning ahead for the inevitable. Had no idea about the Powder. Might trade him with a lady I know. She wants him and I'd like to have 2-3 smaller tangs. I loved my damsels until my recent re-scape. The will attack your hand if you get to close to THEIR rock. I'm just afraid that I'll have to strip my whole tank down to catch them. Any ideas on his not to do that? I'll put them in my sump or give them away. I believe they have become a mated pair by their actions. They might even be protecting their spawning site. Who knows?.. Any ideas on the wrasse rec's? I also saw some really pretty yellow anthias. Any ideas about them?

Being a little more specific would help the OP a lot don't you agree? :)
Nope. He knows. Im not here to discredit his tank, just let him know there are some fish that shouldn't be in there, Im not being the Tang Police.

Don't know his the Flemish got their. Supposed to be wish. Lol. Reefing Madness- how many is too many? I'm doing all the research so I don't overload my bio system and I also plan to add slowly to give it time to catch up. I'll add all of the same types together and wait a few weeks/months before adding the other group. I'm hoping to take things slow and do things right. That's why I'm on here asking questions. I bought a lunar before researching and it cost me. Won't do anything like that again. My snails are just starting to move during the daytime again. I think I'll be able to handle a larger bio-load. I have a lot of very porous rock in both the DT and the sump. I have a bio pellet reactor, big skimmer, and a huge fuge packed full of pods and multiple types of algae. My DT is also loaded with pods. I shine a light in the glass at night and my whole glass twitches. Lol. I also see tons of amphipods run back into their whole after being shined. If I'm wrong, please tell me. I don't mind. It's part of the learning process. That's why I'm here. I don't mind changing my wish list to meet my tanks needs. I'm up for one angle, two small tangs, only blenny, one or two wrasse, one or two anthias(if I can't have my lemon peel), and my inverts. I'd also like a neon goby as I had one before and he would clean my fish and pick at my rocks and glass(pods?). If this is too much, I can cut back to one of each or lose one type. Please let me know. Thank you.

What fish would you recommend I not keep in there and what would you replace them with, Reefing Madness? I see your a very credible person and I've learned a lot from your other post. I'd love to know your thoughts on this subject. I'm very open minded. Please be upfront and let me know what you think is wrong or right. I don't want to keep any fish that will not do well or survive in my tank. That would be cruel and a waste of money.

Its not the amount of fish, its the size of the fish that are in a 120g, thats the issue.
PBT require a minimum of 6' long tanks.
Majestic Angelfish require a minimum of 6-7' long tanks
Sailfin Tang requires a minimum of 6-7' long tanks

Nothing wrong with the list you have. Stock em away. But as I stated, Im not the police, I didn't want to get the tank size and fish thing going here.

Ok. I was not aware of those stats. Glad to know. My PBT is very happy, but he is big. I do plan on trading him with a local reefer who buys wholesale. The one I really want is the yellow eye kole. Is there another tang I could keep with it? My two favorite fish are tangs and wrasse. Glad to know I am not exceeding my limit. It will be a slow process and I will test parameters on the way to make sure everything stays in check. Last thing I want to do is kill a fish or my whole tank by being greedy. Also, do you think I can keep a coral beauty and lemon peal together or would I need a bigger tank. I'm willing to sacrifice the lemon for the yellow anthias that match it.

The Pygmy Angels is a toss up. Its tough to keep the same genre in such a small system. Not saying it can't be done, but its not easy.

I would love to get a 6-8' long tank later on down the road when I move. Later on being a few years. That way I'm more knowledgable and experienced.

I plan to add at the same time and they will probably be the last to go in. If they fight, I'll send one the live at my Mom's or my buddies place.

I h be plenty of sponge and micro algae for them to graze on. I'll probably have even more when it comes time to add them.

I agree the sailfin is a poor choice for a 120, the mole is a much better choice however. It sounds like the Magestoc and Powderblue are coming out though, right? I think you might be able to get away with a couple dwarfs if you add them at the same time.

Yes, they will be coming out as I find the fish I want. I'll sell them or my baddy will take the. He has a 220 that he is rebuilding. I know a lady that has agreed to take the PBT as a trade. She has a 500g system. ... Is their another good choice to add with my kole? I would love a blonde Naso, but my system is way too small for that.

Something from the ctenochaetus tangs or maybe even some of the smaller zebrasoma. I wouldn't even put a Naso in my 225, they just get too big. There's lots of cool smaller fish that would be awesome for your tank, wrasses are a great idea and there's a ton of different ones to choose from.

Ok. I'll look them up. Thank you. Do you have any rec's or starting places for reef safe wrasses? Maybe a different thread. I would love to stack a few as I love their personalities and the way they swim around a through the rock. The way they are always active a searching for food. They are such neat fish. I have a cover for my tank, so no worries about jumping. I know what you mean with the Naso. The have such a unique and beautiful body style, but they get huge. Thank you for all your help so far.

Can you name the smaller fish you're referring to? Anthias, Basslets, Pseudochromis, Firefish, Jawfish?.... I would love a verity of smaller fish instead of a few big fish like I'm used to. I would love a dragonet.

All of those would be great, pseudocromis are pretty aggressive though. Wrasses and Anthias have such a variety and are great choices. Just make sure your tank is well established with lots of pods before adding a dragonet.
