I get off work this morning after doing my night shift. I take a look at my tank before I go to bed and I noticed one of my dendro looked extra big. I turn on the tank light and to my surprise, my clown is halfway inside the mouth of my dendro! I wonder if my clown was "wondering" around while it was asleep and then got stung by my dendro which then became dinner.

Amazing.

I too didn't think that dendro's had the capability of eating fish.

RIP clownfish.

Man makes me wonder if the sun corals Im getting will do it. My clowns like to host with everything!!

Perhaps clown died and was floating by and was caught? Sorry for your loss.

Thats crazy!! i always wondered about those "missing" fish. How does a fish go missing? ^^^ thats how!!

I actually just had a fish "disappear" two day ago. Almost certain, it was the GIANT fungia. Although I did not actually see the fish in the coral, many signs point that direction

A full silverside got away from an rbta during feeding and i found it halfway in the mouth of my dendro. It ate the whole thing. It got really big.

Healthy dendro's are really quite sticky, I could see one eating any small fish that didn't have a ton of "fight" in them.

Clowns can be pretty nosy and not understand other animals will indeed eat them if given the opportunity. I've had a carpet anemone once and it ate two of my clowns...in 3 days spat their bones in a pile right next to itself. The clown here probably thought the dendro was an anemone...
