thanks guys. I'm just fighting with some brown cyano. I don't have the money to get a reactor, just yet. I cranked up the light in my refuge to get more algea to grown in it. I'm hoping the refuge algea will compete with the algea in the display tank. I am in the middle of a black out and the only light that comes on is my refuge light. I will cut my main lights back on Tuesday.

I love the DIY aspect of your build!! :wink: Nice job!!! The "brown cyano" that you have..I think its diatoms. Brown diatoms consume silicates and very common in the start of most tanks.
