This was a frag tank i built a while back, i had posted these pics on another site so some of you may have seen it before.
The system was taken down a while back with some other tanks the wife had me get rid of .

Enjoy.
Here is my first attempt at building my own tank. I used 1/4" acrylic and weldon 4 and about a tube of silicone :D. dimensions are 30" x 36" x 7" for a big shallow footprint. Light is a 15,000K Iwasaki - 175W with a PFO ballast. Custom DIY sterolite filter , 2 koralia 4s , via aqua 3300 " 950ish gph" return pump. Im also going to use my AquaC EV-180 skimmer on this system.

I used .020 steel safety wire as support bars, just drilled small holes in the acrylic threaded it and filled holes with silicon.

system has been running about a week now so no frags as of yet.

Anyways on to the pics.
Enjoy

Nice setup

How do you like the lowe's square tiles? Was it hard to get the glue stuff off the back?
I bought some too. They are sitting in water still. I havne't got around to needing them yet.

I am blown away by that one...brilliant build....what kind of wire is that? I would guess stainless steel? Wonder if titanium wire is available?

its stainless steel wire used as safety wire in many mechanical applications " to prevent bolts/nuts from backing off"

So what happened to this system? Did you sell it?
