Re mounted the rodi unit along with the new booster pump into the fishroom. The board will be painted to match the wall but I wanted to see what it looked like in there and how well it fit :)

Finally making water with the new rodi unit and booster pump. Into the mixing station it goes! As always, more to come:)

More toys arrived today! I also picked up a 40 breeder for another qt tank as well as the wood for a stand. I will be building my light canopy this week, moving the current qt tanks and testing my plumbing again. Getting close :)

My 150g tank from SCA arrived today & looks great! I am so excited to be upgrading our 45g reef tank to this one. Within the next few months I will be buying my equipment, building a stand, building a 75g sump, reinforcing my existing floor & building a fish room in the basement where all of my filtration, qt tank & equipment will be. More photos and videos to come :)

That's insane! But you're in good company. My neighbor across the street literally built his house to support his coral reef. Dedicated half his garage to the filtration system. Several years ago he retired and moved. EVERYTHING was dismantled and moved to Florida. Even the fish and coral were transported. For him and, clearly guys like you, this is more than just a hobby. :D

@Blackadder Lol that’s awesome. It is definitely one of my passions as you can tell. Thanks for checking out my build :)

Well my "battery backup" arrived yesterday! Jk, it's a small gas generator that was on sale. Figure it should be sufficient to keep the majority of the tank going in case of power failure. If not, atleast my son likes it ;) More to come soon

Haha! For a minute, I actually thought that was a MASSIVE generator with a full grown man standing over it. :)

The system is coming along nicely!!

@lpsouth1978 Lol, that made my day! Thank you, I really appreciate it :)

Started on my canopy last night! It will house 2 viparspectra leds for now with a couple of t5s as well. The top will be vented and suspended from the ceiling above the tank. As you can tell, I like to stay busy. More soon :)

@Weasel1960 the brackets are galvanized but will also be primed and painted. Hoping not :)
Thanks. Have been thinking about how to handle that part of my canopy build but hadn’t started exploring options yet. So am curious, does that provide enough protection? Thoughts on other alternatives? Am thinking aluminum angle or brackets maybe?

@Weasel1960 Alluminum would work if you can get them, no rusting for sure! As for the galvanized or other options, if you are to properly prime it and top coat it, I don't see any issues. I guess I'll let you know lol :)

Decided today was the day to finally get the sump & tank running with a freshwater test! So far so good. Should be right on track to get it filled with the real deal next weekend :)

@WIReefer Thanks! Pretty excited that everything worked and didn't flood my house and or basement :)
