My Dream Tank - 650 Gallons!

Can you explain more?
Are you asking me to explain my basement situation? Our house was built in 1870. It had an old small basement that is only about 8x5’. With the bigger tank the equipment is scaled up big as well so space goes quickly. I also have a 55gallon conditioning tank down there.

Need to get some full shots but these are done basement pics

Amazing tank. Coolest thing in East Central Indiana lol. Former Muncie resident here. Are you still stocking or are you full? I would love to do FOWLR one day for some butterfly fish.

Close to done but there a a few more I would like to add. Red Breasted Wrasse, harlequin tusk and Red Sea Raccoon butterfly are hopefully candidates.

Wow I love your Vlamingii Tang! How big is it?
She is huge!! About 16”! She is starting to get her nucal bump. BTW her name is Val. I bought her off another reefer @DaneGer21 who named her and I could never change it!

I think this thread needs an update :)
System has been running strong! No major problems. Problem I have discovered with large fish is that they can knock over large rocks. I had a great arch that got knowckes down. The attire arch was mortared but no matter. These are big rocks ranging from 5-50 pounds.
Also had a leak! couldn’t figure out where it was at but knew it wasn’t near the display of in the basement. So meant it had to be under the house. After about two weeks of poor man’s auto water changes, I crawled under the house and found the culprit. It was leaking at a house barb/hose connection. Steady drip. Got it patched up and things are fine.

Fish update.... have two pairs of butterflies - Auriga and Raccoon in a grow out tank. Going on three months now with them and they are gaining size. Also have a guinea fowl puffer who I would like to get in the display but the Golden wants nothing to do with it.

You have an amazing collection of fish! That grouper is awesome! I see fish like that at the LFS and think that's awesome but who the hell has a tank big enough for fish like that?
