maybe cavitation on return pump. I remember you mentioned a basement sump. What type of return pump?
Also, reach in and feel if pump is vibrating.
Agree with vette. Throttle down the return line to put more head pressure on pump. That thing is a beast. Lol
shoot for 1200 to 3000 gph turn over
I plan on setting mine with a manifold supply from the return. I've seen quite a few sumps that use a manifold to supply accessories and/or control the return flow by allowing a percentage of the return recirculate in the sump.I have valves the pump back and waiting to see. Let me ask you this. I was planning on running a manifold of a separate dedicated pump. Would it hurt to run the manifold off the return line with some of the unused potential of the pump??

In what way does it look different than yours?
received 50 gallon Ben that I will incorporate for water changes! And some E-Marco 400 for aquascaping soon!
Oh the aquascaping.... that was definitely one of the most stressful parts!! Fun but time consuming. It's hard to imagine what your tank will be in 5 years![]()
For my birthday I am staying home and playing with rock and PVC!!!

Happy Birthday!
Rock structure looks nice - how are you going to hold it all together?
