Hi,

Your feedback is greatly appreciated. My Duncan breached and hammer is shrinking on one side. All others are doing very well including other hammers.

I recently messed with the sand bed which it was a big mistake and led to the Nitrate and Nitrite spiked. I wonder if that's the reason the Duncan breached. On the shrinking hammer, what is that thing on the wall? should I dip it or scrape it off?

Thanks

Breached as in full polyp bail out or bleached? What are your parameters? Pics of the Duncan?

First of all, Welcome to R2R. You came to the right place.
Can you give us some details on your system? Parameters, age and size of the system, details of what you think caused the problem, etc...?

I think I see a vermetid snail on the side of that hammer just below the receding flesh.

Does it look like this?:

If so, put a dab of super glue on the tip.

The pest managed to dig a crave on the wall. I dipped the hammer and scraped the worm. I hope the hammer can return to normal soon
